Principal’s Message – June 29th
Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community,
It is amazing how the year has flown by, and we are very proud of what our QE students have achieved socially, emotionally, and academically, over the course of the year. We wish them all the best over the summer and hope they take time to rest up and have tons of fun and enjoy being with friends and family. I have no doubt that today Mr. Manville would have been thinking of you all and how he would have wanted to be here to wish you a wonderful summer in person. On behalf of Paul, as well as myself, we wish you all a very safe and happy summer!
Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to some staff members but are fortunate to be getting some wonderful new additions to our staff in September. Currently, Ms. Veriah (Gr. K), Mrs. Sahdev (Resource), Ms. Tse (Gr. 2) are leaving to take on other positions in the district. Mr. Andy Lee has finished the year off for Mrs. Barnes, who is currently on maternity leave, and we sadly have to say goodbye for now to him as well. We must also say farewell to our amazing EAs, Ms. Nguyen, Ms. Jimmie, Mrs. Mangat and Mrs. Dosanjh. We sincerely thank them for their contributions to QE and wish them all the best!
We also had to give a fond farewell to our grade 4s. We wish them lots of new adventures and success as they head to QMS. Many of our families will stay on at QE with younger siblings, but if your family is saying goodbye to QE, please come back and visit; we hope you and your child(ren) enjoyed and valued their experiences at QE!

Moving?
If your family is planning to move over the summer and not return to QE next year, please let us know as soon as possible at queenelizabeth@sd40.bc.ca. This information is critical to our planning and organization for 2023-2024. This does not apply to our current Grade 4 students heading to QMS.

Reporting
To keep you informed, please see the information regarding changes to reporting next year.
September Start-Up Date
Students will return on September 5th for one hour only. School will begin at 8:50 and be dismissed at 9:50. There will be further information to follow in late August.
