Principal’s Message – April 28

Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community,

May has arrived! And finally, the sun and warm temperatures as well. As expected outside activity has begun in earnest! Classes are using our outdoor learning and play areas, taking walking fieldtrips and work continues to complete Phase 1 of our Bee Habitat next week. Landscaping and Cedar Bark Mulch will be added behind our Modular classrooms adjacent to the gym, next to our existing Garden space to create a new outdoor learning space. We look forward to the relocation of our Bee Hive to this location shortly after. Stay tuned for more on this exciting outdoor experience for our students.

And … wanted to share more of our Family Friday action …. Students in Division 13 – Ms Janz’s class are working with a program called Story Jumper, which helps students become authors creating stories along with images on their classroom Chromebooks. Our School Learning Plan Literacy Goal in Action!

Thank you to all our Families for your continued participation in Family Fridays. Such a pleasure to see families participating in our school and their child’s learning … Today was another full house!

Please be reminded that Tuesday, May 2nd is an Early Dismissal Day. Students are dismissed at 12:24 PM and will only require a snack that day.
