Weather Updates and Procedures for Inclement Weather Days
I hope everyone is staying warm and finding the time to enjoy our cold spell. As cold as it has been, it has been enjoyable and a new experience for many of our students. Thank you to all our families for preparing our students for the weather as the benefits of outside time are so important for our learning and health.
We will continue to experience various winter weather systems over the next couple of weeks. Please continue to have students dress appropriately for rain, snow and chilly temperatures and prepare for school with a change of clothes as needed. All students will continue to be outside during our recess and lunch times every day. We no longer have the extreme weather conditions of -12 or -10 so we will continue with our routines of being outside for all students.
A snowfall warning has been issued indicating snow, beginning overnight, and continuing throughout Wednesday. It will be very important for our school community to prepare for this event and understand procedures for checking if schools will be open.

Jan. 18 – early dismissal – students dismissed at 12:05
Jan. 18 – Ski Club – students/staff leave QE at 2:30 and return approximately 8:00
Jan. 19 – Fire Drill
Jan. 22 – 26 – Lacrosse in Schools during gym time – New Westminster Parks and Recreation
Jan. 25 – Ski Club – Students/Staff leave QE at 2:30 and return approximately 8:00
Jan. 25 – PAC meeting 7:00 – zoom
