Principal’s Message – October 22nd
Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community,
Activities this week!
October 24th – Diwali
We will celebrate Diwali on Monday, October 24th. Staff and Students have created hallway displays and a video presentation will be shared in classes this week to further educate our school community on the significance of Diwali and how it is celebrated around the world. Everyone – staff, students, and families are encouraged to wear festive or bright colours on Monday.
Wishing those who are celebrating Diwali, a very Happy Diwali!
October 26th – PAC Meeting
Meeting will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, October 26th at 7PM. Agenda and meeting link to follow this week.
October 28th – Pumpkin Run
Our Pumpkin Run is this Friday, October 28th! Donated pumpkins from Save On – Byrne Road, will arrive this week and with the help of parent volunteers, be loaded into our school garden to create our annual Pumpkin Patch! The patch will be open to family visitors on the day of the run!
Run schedule is as follows:
9:30 AM – Kindergarten
11:00 AM – Grade 1/2
11:45 AM – Grade 3/4
Students will participate in a draw in each class at the end of the day, for the chance to take home one of the pumpkins!
