Principal’s Message – November 1st

Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community,

Staff and Students had a wonderful week of Halloween last week. Thank you to the community for coming out to support our Pumpkin Run this past Thursday. Despite the rain it was a great event and lots of fun for all. We hoped you enjoyed a sunny Halloween day on Sunday as a family.

As we head into November here are some important upcoming events, dates and reminders.

November 10th – We will be holding a virtual Remembrance Day assembly at 11AM. Students will view a pre-recorded presentation prepared by a number of participating classrooms and our Grade 3/4 choir. Poppies will be provided to all students and donations to the Legion are greatly appreciated and available for parents to provide on School Cash Online.

November 11th – Remembrance Day. School is not in session.

November 12th – Professional Development Day – School is not in session.

Our School Learning Plan has been updated for the 2021-22 School Year. Staff and students are working on a number of new collaborative team projects including continued teaching on Diversity, Equity, and Anti Racism; Indigenous Perspectives through Art; Physical Literacy; Applied Design Science and Technology; Outdoor Learning, Gardening and Cooking and Social Emotional Learning with a new Art Therapy Program.
