Principal’s Message – March 10th
Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community,
Spring is upon us and we wish everyone a safe and happy break!
As we head into our final term please click the Calendar link at the bottom and take particular note of our QE Calendar of Events to finish up the year. Save the date for our special events – Welcome to Kindergarten, Class Photos, Sports Day, Grade 4 Graduation Day, Grade 4 Year End Party and more!
We will see you back on March 27th hopefully with even more sunshine in the forecast!
Grade 4 Graduation Hoodies!
We will finalize our Graduation Hoodie orders after Spring Break. Today students will come home with their size and colour choices (Navy Blue, Red or Grey) so they can be discussed further at home. Many students have chosen oversized hoodies, which is great, but we want to be certain they are happy with them so if your child has chosen an Adult Sized hoodie or a larger one than you would expect, please discuss it with them before we finalize the order. Students will have an opportunity to change their size or colour choice the first week back until a deadline of Tuesday, March 28th.
Parents may also email any changes directly to me before the deadline at pmanville@sd40.bc.ca. Please include your child’s Full Name, Teacher Name and Division Number to ensure accuracy.
New Westminster Schools – Programs of Choice Review
New Westminster Schools is in the process of doing a Programs of Choice Review, with the support of an outside consultant. There are currently surveys open to gather feedback and ideas, as one part of the overall process. The parent and caregiver surveys are anonymous and confidential and will close on Sunday March 19th. You can find links at the below URL, which have been separated by grades and whether or not you have a child enrolled in a Program of Choice.
