Principal’s Message – April 1st
Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community,
Welcome back!
We hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and have enjoyed the sun as much as we have our first week back. Students have been outside a lot this week and are beginning to visit our garden space and prepare for what Spring has to offer.
Please see the following updates and information:
PAC Spring Fundraiser!
We are excited for our final fundraiser for the 2021/2022 school year. We are doing another plant fundraiser through the growing smiles program.
Their plants and flowers have been amazing in the past, and we are looking forward to enjoying them again throughout the spring and summer. Orders can be placed online through the website. The ordering deadline is Wednesday, April 27th at 9:00 p.m. Plants will be delivered to the school on Friday, May 13th and will be available for pick up between 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Rapid Antigen Tests and Masks in Schools
We have a small supply of Rapid Antigen Tests that remain in the office. If you are in need of more tests, please do not hesitate to contact us. With the lifting of Mask protocols, we want to remind our community that wearing masks at school inside and out is entirely up to you. We encourage all students and families that are more comfortable wearing masks to please continue to do so. We will continue to supply additional masks to staff and students that need them at the office.
QE Bee Project!
We are very excited for the installation of our Bee Hive in the school garden, which is scheduled to take place in late April. We are working with the urban beekeeping company, Alveole , who will be providing the hive, ongoing maintenance and instruction for staff and students, and a late summer early Fall honey harvest, which you will hear more about closer to the time – you will have a chance to own some of this liquid gold!
A very special thank you to Carly Ballarin and YOU the PAC for making this exciting new project happen. We so appreciate your continued support and financial assistance that makes learning opportunities like this possible for our school community.
You will be able to follow the latest BUZZ on our MY HIVE page: https://myhive.alveole.buzz/queen-elizabeth-community-school-921-salter-st
