Principal’s Message ~ April 19th

Dear Queen Elizabeth School Community!

We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we have had in recent days. Staff and Students have engaged with Outdoor Learning in earnest this year and it is not uncommon to see a caravan of K’s navigating the service road with a wagon load of supplies or a class set up in the grass on our City Park Field. Our Covered Outdoor Learning Space is being used daily and we anticipate even more outdoor learning activities as we head into the warmer months. Our gardening initiatives are well under way and we are pleased to announce the roll out of our two new Mud Kitchens in our Garden Space. Good things are growing at QE!

Here is a sneak peak of what is happening in our outdoor learning spaces ….

Thank you for your continued efforts to support our ongoing health and safety measures, including monitoring your families health closely and keeping students that show symptoms at home. Remaining distanced at drop off and pick up times and avoiding the use of playground spaces at busy times before and after school, is truly appreciated. We thank you and we WILL get through this as a community!

I can be reached directly at pmanville@sd40.bc.ca or in reply to this email. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, comments or concerns.

Thank you
